When I lost my home in the Valley Fire, I wanted to rebuild a home. No organizations would even look at helping me. Either I didn’t qualify, had never been a homeowner, or I had too much student debt for myself and my children. I wanted to stay in Lake County, my children had grown up here. Finally, Hammers for Hope reached out to me. They even helped hold me together through all my tears and emotional termoil. I cannot even express how kind they were to me! They let me know that I was not in this struggle alone. They were in it with me. They wanted me to be in a home as much as I wanted it. This past September, I moved into my new home and I am a homeowner! Hammers for Hope helped me achieve the American Dream! I know many other families they have also helped. Hammers for Hope cares about their community. Alone I could not have achieved this goal, but together with an organization like Hammers for Hope, we can achieve anything.

I can not begin to tell you what a blessing this home is to me. I have had so many hardships in the past 4 years. Things were so bad I was going to live in my car. Thank you from the deepest bottom of my heart. I am grateful and so thankful you have no idea how much! Working on my home and gardens all the time. So happy.
