Project Description
On a chilly April morning, Mary Keithly (second from right) welcomes the Hammers for Hope Board of Directors to see the new energy-efficient windows that now warm what was once a drafty 1940s-era home in Soda Bay. Pictured with Keithly are, from left, Rob Brown, Debra Sommerfield, Danielle Matthews Seperas, Steven Brown, Mark Borghesani. Windows from Kelseyville Lumber; installation by Chip Bowlin, Bowlin Construction.
Mary Keithly enjoys a cup of coffee and the view through new energy-efficient windows that now warm her once-chilly concrete block home in Soda Bay. In addition to projected energy savings, Keithly now uses only half as much wood to heat her home and doesn’t have to get up in the middle of the night to stoke the woodstove. Window replacement was provided through the Hammers for Hope home repair program.
